Driver I

JOB SUMMARY:
Drive company vehicles in accordance with DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to all HydroChemPSC Policies per Environmental, Health, Safety and Transportation Manuals. Including, but not limited to, Life Safety Rules and HydroChemPSC's Loss Prevention System (LPS).
Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by HydroChemPSC Policies and/or client requirements
Maintains a Driver Daily Log per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policy
Completes Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports during Pre and Post Trip Inspections at the beginning and end of each shift per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policy.
Assures vehicles and equipment are safe to operate per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policies prior to beginning route.
Verifies load, tools, equipment, and materials are properly secured per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policy prior to beginning of any route on public or private roadways.
Adhere to all traffic laws per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policy while operating any company vehicle on public or private roadways.
Trained on the proper use of all PPE required to do the work safely.
Safely Deliver hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste and products, to and from destination
Drive company vehicles in accordance with DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policies.
Labels, marks, and manifests shipments in accordance with DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policies.
Loads shipment onto HydroChemPSC equipment per DOT Regulations and HydroChemPSC Policies.
Interacts with customer in a professional manner regarding job status, client requirements, and assures customer satisfaction.
CDL drivers assure brake adjustment inspections are completed prior to use
Operates and maintains trucks and equipment per manufactures recommendations
Does not modify any vehicle or piece of equipment without written permission from the manufacturer and PSC management
Trained on the installation, operation, and repairs of mechanical devices such as pumps, valves, PTO's etc.
May troubleshoot equipment and make minor repairs as long as they have the knowledge to complete the task safely.
Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employee or others while operating company vehicles/equipment to the Safety Manager over the area
Recommends changes and improvements to safety and services based on job experience & observations.
Completes all appropriate paperwork, shift information and submits to appropriate personnel/systems
Performs other duties when assigned and as needed.
SCOPE:
On call 24/7 365 days a year
Must answers calls during days, nights, and weekends as necessary
Duties may require being over the road 50-75% of the time depending on the job/project
May be gone extended periods of time up to a month or more depending on the job/project
May be required to stay in hotels
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
No DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) or DUI (Driving Under the Influence) on applicants driving record within the previous three (3) years from date of application
No more than three (3) moving violation convictions and/or any at fault accident within the previous three (3) years from date of application
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
Knowledge of DOT regulations
In compliance with DOT and HydroChemPSC Drug policy
In compliance with DOT Background Check policy
In compliance with DOT Physical Requirements
Possess all required I-9 documentation
Maintains a current driver's license or CDL as required
Obtains a license for the state of residence within 90 days
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Applicant must possess a valid state driver's license (no revocations or current suspensions of license)
JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three (3) years related experience
Must have direct experience operating Roll Off Trailers and Tandem End Dump Trailers
Must have HazMat endorsement
DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work days or days depending on job/project
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
