Monitor Tech PRN
The Monitor Technician monitors patients' EKG waveforms, rhythms, and vital signs in a centralized monitoring station. The technician provides the nurses and physicians with precise analysis of cardiac rhythms through oral communication and written documentation. The Monitor Technician detects abnormal pattern variances and notifies the primary RN immediately.
High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a medical assistant, EMT or related program with course work in medical terminology, anatomy or cardiac rhythms and/or the equivalent in experience preferred. BLS certification upon hire.
Experience preferred but not required. Critical thinking and assessment skills. Must be able to take directions.
